Our first project webinar, held June 18, 2026, presented the full set of NEWZSIP findings to state DOT staff, work zone safety practitioners, researchers, and the public. The recording is available below.
June 2026 webinar highlights
That session drew a strong regional and national audience of work zone safety professionals.
- 112 attendees joined the live session, beyond the project team.
- Registrants came from 8 states (Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont, New Jersey, plus Virginia, Indiana, and Utah) and the U.S. Department of Transportation.
- About 50 attendees were state and local transportation agency staff, including five USDOT / FHWA participants.
- Roughly another 50 attendees came from the private sector, spanning nearly 30 engineering, contracting, and technology firms.
- Engagement ran high: the median attendee stayed 46 minutes, and 84 people stayed for 40 minutes or more of the roughly 47-minute session.
